Next year, Simon & Schuster will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of Ray Bradbury’s classic dystopian novel, Fahrenheit 451. It is a book that has remained meaningful, thought-provoking and relevant to every generation that reads it, regardless of how much the world has changed.
To help celebrate this momentous birthday, Simon & Schuster is launching a contest to redesign the iconic book jacket. The winning design will be used for the first print run of the anniversary edition in the spring of 2013, and the designer will be awarded $1,500. The design may also be used on in-store displays and other promotions both physical and online. They expect this edition not only to be in bookstores across the country, but to become a collector’s item for the many fans and bibliophiles out there. And they’re counting on a fabulous new jacket to help launch it.
This is where YOU come in! You can submit your own illustration and/or design to their cover contest!
And view submissions here on their Tumblr page.
Submissions are due by November 30, 2012.
What a fantastic opportunity!
