Wonderful interview! Brilliant Work! Yuko, you are a complete inspiration and I want to thank you for sharing your story, as well as having had the courage to make your career change. Being in the “early 30’s” and being certain that a career change is the next step (although in entertainment, not illustration) it is so wonderful to hear about your success!

Thank you thank you thank you!

This was a great interview. I love hat Yuko said about travel and her methods for getting out of a creative slump. It’s also good to hear that she started late in life and has continued to grow artistically and commercially. Often, times, one is left to feel that you have to be in your twenties to make it as an illustrator.

This was a great interview! Yuko, keep up the great work and attitude, you are truly inspirational! Thanks Penelope for finding these wonderful folks to aspire to!

    Yuko is completely inspiring!

I love her life story, creative process, and love of life and travelling. I too started a more “practical” career as an architect…and decided at 32 that I needed to be more creative… her ability to become so successful later in life has inspired me to keep on going.

Thanks for such a fantastic interview!

Great interview and inspiration for me to grow on! At age 50 I decided to make art my full time occupation. It’s been tough but worth the ride. Thanks Yuko, for your passion and inspiration, and Penelope, for the wonderful interview!
