In working on some group projects and plans this week I was reminded how blessed I am to know lots of local illustrators. It’s comforting to get advice, commiserate and work together on gallery shows or projects. I think it’s important to get out of the studio and connect with other artists on a personal level. It can keep us feeling like real human beings

I’ll be featuring a female illustrator from my home town of Edmonton every day for a week, in celebration of this! 

First off, Valéry Goulet. Her work as a distinct style and she has so many great products in her boutique.  Check our her ’special projects’ - wow wall graphics! Her clean, crisp and graphical approach hints at her design background.
