Christine and I went to see Dave McKean’s persistence of vision show this week. Drawings, paintings, and photographs were separated into three rooms. The photos were “Too goth” in Christine’s opinion but the paintings were haunting and fun. They surprised us with little details like tiny actual starfish affixed to the night sky of one painting. The paintings will be collected in a book called Nitrate later this year and McKean’s inky drawings have already been collected into… what i can only describe as… a museum quality coloring book called Squink.
