NYC in November
Just wanted to take a sec and let everyone out there know that I’ll be attending the American Illustrator’s opening party, which is being held on Thursday November 13th at the Angel Orensanz Foundation in New York’s lower east side. I can personally vouch that it’s an awesome venue and a great atmosphere to meet other creative-types, including a few celebrity illustrators and photographers. I attended this event a couple time over the past five years, but it’s been 3 years since I’ve been, and I’m extremely excited to visit the city and take part in that nervous rat-race that is NYC. Here are a couple pics of the building, which is an old cathedral converted for such events:
Ah memories. I still remember having that twinkle in my eye as I visited NYC, and the AI-AP party, for the first time (yeah, I had a twinkle. Someone told me). So many hopes and dreams. Now I’ll be visiting as a full-time Independent creative. it’s exciting, and scary as ever (in a good way, to be sure).
I’ll be in the city for the entire weekend, and would love to meet anyone who happens to attend the event on Thursday night. You can find the official invitation here. Stop by and let’s have a drink and some finger foods, mkay?
And let me know if you’ll be there!
