  • Cindy Woods rocks on!

cindy woods passed away on friday. cindy was a regular participant on illustration friday and was beloved by many of us. you can find lots of her artwork on this website, on the portrait party, and even more on flickr and cindy’s blog, learning daily. it is obvious in her drawings and her words that cindy’s heart was enormous. the world’s a better place for having held her and little sadder to have let her go.

such an incredible portrait of a woman who truly embodied the consummate artist. Cindy impressed me so much with her grit and determination, her generosity of spirit and her dedication to drawing. I’ll never forget her and am so saddened by her passing, but determined to remember her spirit in my own work.

Thank you for this portrait, Rama. It is an incredible piece of work, just lovely, and just as I imagined her (I never met her though I’ve followed he since she first began blogging.)

You will be much missed, Cin. Peace to all who knew and loved her, to all those lives she touched.

What a lovely portrait of Cindy, Rama. I went to her blog this morning after a while away and my heart just sank. I’m going to miss her gorgeous line work and her beautiful spirit. Thanks for remembering her here, in the community where we first “met.”

oh no! Like French Toast Girl I hadn’t been to her blog for a little while and was shocked at the news. Thanks for letting us know, she was a wonderful IF member, I loved her characters caught spontaneously by her gentle line work.

She has left a wonderful legacy. Here’s hoping those lovely lines pick her up and carry her off somewhere wonderful.
