Cartoon-o-Rama
This movie isn’t out yet but I couldn’t wait for someone else to write it up. From the synopsis:
Sita is a goddess separated from her beloved Lord and husband Rama. Nina [Paley] is an animator whose husband moves to India, then dumps her by email. Three hilarious shadow puppets narrate both ancient tragedy and modern comedy in this beautifully animated interpretation of the Indian epic Ramayana. Set to the 1920′s jazz vocals of Annette Hanshaw, Sita Sings the Blues earns its tagline as “The Greatest Break-Up Story Ever Told.”
I can’t vouch for the film yet but I can vouch for the message that Nina’s story sends to all of us: Don’t get mad, get drawing!

I saw this animation in an animation film festival a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed it. There were three different style of the illustration and I like the one that your picture shows above.
