Me: Just got my copy of I SAW YOU. A bunch of artists, myself included, were invited by Julia Wertz (a.k.a., Penelope Boner!) to create comics inspired by real life Missed Connections ads.
You: Just might fall in love with its silliness and its sappiness.

When I was attending an all-boys catholic prep school in the 70’s,
I rode a decrepit bus most mornings, on my way to the institution my parents thought best for me. That period of my life was a total misery. There was a girl who rode the bus that, for some reason, captivated me. I never made contact— just observed from afar. She was plain, yet magnetic in a very personal way.
