I'm new here to. Classical wise, you got to go with Da Vinci and Caravaggio. As far as the modern illustrators go, I can't really say. I read a lot of comics, and so far the best one that come to mind is Glenn Fabry.

Do I dare admit I like Mary Engelbreit and Susan Branch? I also love the work of some artists who illustrate children's books like Mike Wimmer and Raul Colon.
