What you need:
An illustration of your interpretation of the topic.
A site to upload it to.
A 50x50 pixel thumbnail of your illustration.
If you need a web page, we recommend you start a free
weblog or image site, like Blogger.com or flickr.com.
They are free and easy to set up.
When you complete your illustration of the topic, also
create a 50x50 pixel thumbnail. Post your full illustration
to your webpage. Then come to the Illustration Friday
site and enter your link and upload your thumbnail. Make
sure to have your thumbnail ready. (If you can't find
your thumbnail, it sometimes helps to quit your browser
and reopen it.) Make sure your thumbnail is under 12k
by saving for web, rather than just saving as.
Topics are posted each Friday. Sign up for the email and
have the topic sent directly to your in-box. (Click here
to sign up.) Or simply check Illustration Friday site
for the topic.
