What you need:
An illustration of your interpretation of the topic.
A site to upload it to.
A 50x50 pixel thumbnail of your illustration.

If you need a web page, we recommend you start a free weblog or image site, like wordpress.com or flickr.com. They are free and easy to set up.

When you complete your illustration of the topic, also create a 50x50 pixel thumbnail. Post your full illustration to your webpage. Then come to the Illustration Friday site and enter your link and upload your thumbnail. Make sure to have your thumbnail ready. (If you can't find your thumbnail, it sometimes helps to quit your browser and reopen it.) Make sure your thumbnail is under 12k by saving for web, rather than just saving as.

Topics are posted each Friday. Sign up for the email and have the topic sent directly to your in-box. (Click here to sign up.) Or simply check Illustration Friday site for the topic.

*Note: Participants have one week to upload their interpretations. It's best to have your link uploaded by Thursday night before the new topic is chosen so you have some time on the list for views and comments!

RULES :
- Links must take you to a static page on your blog or website. This makes it easy for people to find your illustration, without scrolling to look for it. Links that do not lead to static pages will be deleted. Click here to learn more about static pages.

- When uploading your site url, make sure to include the entire address, including the http://, otherwise it will be an error.

     Incorrect: www.sitename.com
     Correct: http://www.sitename.com

- Please avoid showing inappropriate material that may offend viewers. However, Illustration Friday is not responsible for what is linked to. Please use caution.

- You can use an illustration you already created if it’s appropriate to the topic.

- Please submit only one illustration per topic.
